Other opportunities within the Society.

We are always on the look out for volunteers to get involved with the Society. Perhaps you don't want to sing or dance. How about one of these other areas?

Most of our 'help' comes from our members on a voluntary basis. It is after all a hobby, and we try to do as much in house as possible to keep our costs down.

Our back stage team consists of:

Duncan Rayner - Set Building and Scenery

Duncan has painstakingly built our sets for a number of years now, labouring to get them ready on time, particularly with the access problems at the LV School. We have been very fortunate that he has helped us in this way for so long.

Rosemary Everett / Pauline Richardson / Bill Chislett - Scenery Painting

Our resident team of painters have created some wonderful scenes with the scenery over the years!

Erica Darren - Stage Management

Erica and Sue Wells assist us in the smooth running of our productions.

Nick Long, Darren Hough and Nick Fernandez (LV School)
and Peter Fitzwater (Cordes Hall) - Sound and Light
Engineers

We enrolled the support of the boys for the LV school and the stage lighting and sound was virtually totally rewired by them in time for Pirates of Penzance.

John Richardson - Front of House

John has been regularly co-opted into helping out not just with the Front of House, but also assists his wife Pauline making props for us.

Jan Chislett/Sally Smith - Wardrobe Mistresses

Both Jan and Sally have acted as our Wardrobe MIstresses over the years and the quality of the costumes has been second to none, through the many contacts they have between them

Linda Peacock - Make Up

Linda joined us for Pirates of Penzance and is a professional make up artist for stage and TV.

Chaperones

We have a number of registered chaperones that help us out on key occasions where the children are involved in our productions and we are very grateful for their voluntary input.
